Le Bon Vivant.

A culinary journey in a cosy vaulted cellar.

Surprising flavour combinations and beautiful wine pairings.

Le Bon Vivant is a cosy restaurant in a romantic cellar just a stone’s throw from Vrijthof square in Maastricht.

Situated in a seventeenth-century vaulted cellar just a stone’s throw from Vrijthof square, this romantic restaurant is one of Maastricht’s hidden gems. A stone staircase leads to a candlelit room, where your culinary journey starts with a warm welcome. With a French-inspired menu, you can expect a memorable evening of gastronomic delights. The quiet and cosy ambiance creates the perfect setting to enjoy an aperitif.

Le Bon Vivant is run by Björn Dijkstra who, together with his dedicated team, shares his love of the good life with guests five days a week. He creates a new menu each season consisting of three to seven courses made from locally sourced ingredients, which the experienced servers are happy to pair with a beautiful glass of wine. A seven-course vegetarian menu is also available.

The kitchen is open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sundays from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
